Asset Library
Organise your uploads with folders and tags, and reuse assets across multiple projects using the shared library.
Asset Library
As your project grows, the Asset Library helps you stay organised. It provides folder structures, tags, search, and — on higher plans — a workspace-wide shared library that any project can draw from.
Organising with folders
Create folders inside the Uploads tab to group related assets:
- In the Asset Panel, click New Folder.
- Name the folder (e.g.
textures, characters, audio). - Drag assets into the folder.
Folders are visual only — they do not affect how assets are referenced in your scene.
Tagging assets
Tags let you filter across all folders at once:
- Right-click an asset and choose Edit Tags.
- Add one or more tags (e.g.
outdoor, pbr, licensed). - Use the Filter by tag dropdown in the Asset Panel search bar.
Searching assets
The search bar at the top of the Asset Panel searches by:
- File name — partial matches supported.
- Extension — type
.glbor.mp3to filter by type. - Tag — prefix with
#(e.g.#outdoor).
Shared Asset Library (Team & Enterprise)
On Team and Enterprise plans, a Shared Library section appears in the Asset Panel alongside your project's Uploads. Assets in the Shared Library are available to every project in your workspace.
Adding assets to the Shared Library
- Right-click any uploaded asset.
- Select Add to Shared Library.
The asset is copied to the workspace Shared Library. The project copy and the shared copy are independent — updating one does not affect the other.
Managing the Shared Library
Workspace Admins can manage the Shared Library from Dashboard → Shared Library:
- Rename, replace, or delete shared assets.
- Create folders and apply tags.
- Set access permissions: All members or Admins only.
Reusing assets across projects
On Pro plans and above, you can copy assets between your own projects:
- Right-click an asset.
- Select Copy to Project….
- Choose the target project from the picker.
The asset is duplicated into the target project — it is not a live link. Changes to the original do not propagate.
Marketplace assets
Installed Marketplace assets appear in the Marketplace tab of the Asset Panel, separate from your Uploads. They do not count against your storage quota.
- Marketplace assets can be used in any project in your workspace.
- If a Marketplace item is removed by its creator, installed copies remain available but will no longer receive updates.
- To update a Marketplace asset, open the Marketplace tab, find the item, and click Update.
